Dingle and it's surroundings boast some of Ireland's most scenic areas. Situated approximately thirty miles west of Tralee, near the famous Mount Brandon, it is surrounded by countless lakes, mountains, hills and valleys. The terrain left after the glaciation is truly a sight to behold. The scenic route from Tralee takes in the breath taking scenery of the Conor Pass, Peddlers Lake and much more. The Slea Head drive is takes you through the finest views of West Kerry, Beehive huts and Gallarus Oratory. A visit to Dingle and the appreciation of its historical trail is a very enriching experience, particulary for those with a keen interest in history. ActivitiesFor the more energetic there is a wealth of activities nearby - historic trails and walking routes, horse riding, swimming, golf, windsurfing, fantastic fishing and much more! There are boat trips to see Fungi the famous Dingle Dolphin which depart from the quay in Dingle approximately 5 minutes walk from our house regularly during the summer months.
